The new visa-free policy applies to:
All passport holders with a valid UAE residency of at least 6 months
Residents of other GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar)
Previously, only UAE nationals could travel visa-free to Armenia, while residents needed a visa on arrival. Now, UAE residents can enjoy up to 90 days of stay within any 180-day period for tourism, leisure, or business—no visa required.
According to Armenia’s Tourism Committee, this initiative opens the doors to a wider GCC expatriate community, making the country even more attractive for quick getaways or extended adventures.
“This milestone reflects our dedication to making Armenia more accessible to regional travellers,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of Armenia’s Tourism Committee.
Armenia is a land of contrasts—ancient monasteries, snowcapped mountains, and a rich food and wine culture. Just a 3-hour flight from the UAE, it’s a perfect destination for a long weekend or a cultural deep dive.
Popular airlines like flydubai, Air Arabia, and Wizz Air offer direct flights from the UAE.
This policy shift is part of Armenia’s broader efforts to expand visa-free access to holders of valid residency permits from:
GCC countries
EU member states
Schengen Area
United States
The decision was made during a recent cabinet meeting and is expected to boost tourism and strengthen economic ties with Gulf nations.
Policy effective: July 1, 2025
Stay allowed: Up to 90 days within 180 days
Who’s eligible: All valid UAE/GCC residents (minimum 6-month residency validity)
